Share your views on the impact of Brexit on your business

Here in Hackney, where cultural diversity is integral to our way of life, around 15% of our citizens ? that?s 41,500 residents - are from other EU countries.
These residents ? who have chosen to make Hackney their home ? have helped our economy grow by founding or contributing to local businesses, and in turn creating more and better jobs.
Hackney had the third highest Remain vote in the UK, with 78.5% of people voting to stay in the EU. Our European residents are our friends, neighbours, and colleagues, but they also bring skills, expertise, creativity and energy. We know that if Hackney starts to lose its EU nationals, our businesses will feel the impact first.

There?s not a lot that we, as a council, can do about Brexit, but at this time of uncertainty I want to do all I can to make sure EU nationals feel welcome here, and to make sure that I understand their concerns ? and those of our local businesses.

The Mayor has recently launched the #Hackneylovesyou campaign, which encouraged residents to share their stories of life in Hackney via email or social media and to wear a special EU version of our I Love Hackney badge.
Now he would like to hear from you, about your feelings about Brexit and the impact it may have on your business and employees. This will help him to understand any concerns you have and will ensure that he can raise these with those involved in the debate on a regional and national level.
